On the personal front, I'm now (again) a proud auntie! My baby niece Sydney was born yesterday, weighing in perfectly at 7 lbs and 3 ounces. She looks just like her mommie (and a bit like her daddy too I think). And since I'm her mommie's cousin, in a roundabout way she look a teeny weeny bit like me! Yay!

Haven't been posting much being on travel these past ten days, but now I'm back and trying to catch-up on things. Meanwhile, IE8 is here and I just finished downloading it onto the desktop to try out. Will let you know how it goes!

Found this great tutorial on how to make a cartoon drawing in Flash from Broder Jakobs. Below's the condensed bullet point version. For details, check out his blog.

1. Make a sketch
2. Use layers
3. Draw lots of circles
4. Mould shapes
5. Use the pencil tool
6. Draw outlines
7. Mess with the lines
8. Paint inside

For me though, the best tutorial is a video tutorial, such as this video presentation by Chris Georgenes.
