No Better Way to Ring in 2009

The holidays have scrambled my schedule so much ... there was no time for anything else. But now I'm getting back into the swing of things. And with that as a goal, I can't ask for a better present on the first day of 2009 ... just found out (purely by chance) that one of my designs was nominated and chosen to be featured on the school websbite. You'd think they'd notify the lucky students, right?! I could've missed this one brief shining moment, but I'm not complaining. Thanks to my teacher Piper Nilsson ... for nominating my work, and to Sessions for choosing to feature it. I'm on cloud 9.

Yes We Can

My name is Sarah. I'm one of those folks who realize somewhere in the middle of their career that life is too short to not spend each day doing the things we truly love. So at the age of 40-something (some may call that "late in life," though I hardly feel that way), I've decided to jump head-first into learning web design, something I fell into along the way and am quite good at, but haven't had a chance to follow through with because of the obligatory 9-5 life. Once making the plunge, I haven't looked back. I love what I do now so much, and can't wait to - one day soon - do it full-time.

Oh and before I forget, since Poco will pop up in this blog sooner or later, I'd love for you to meet her now. Poco came by way of my baby sister. She is the Queen of the house and she knows it. Today, we casted our votes! Poco is quite proud of her first voting experience. I think it's time for our girl to get a sneaky snack!
